The last time I encouraged you all to rest assured, I assured you we are arranging a project. I am telling you to rest assured once more because we are formulating the questions for the people that we are hoping will be willing sources.
I ask you to be as patient as we are since this is a large project and it requires the utmost care and consideration.
Patience, being the virtue that it is, is a wise move for us. If we say we care about the community then we must care about the sources we hope to interview as well. I should think my reporters do not desire to offend anyone in their writing, questioning, or mannerisms.
If anyone is offended, however, it may be the case that it is their own fault. That is, we believe strongly that when someone is offended by our reporters, they don’t have to be. That is, we encourage self-control.
Never before have we spent such a length on formulating questions for what we hope will be willing sources.
We consider the subject, which remains nameless until publication, an overlooked part of the community that we live in. We are wondering why the subject has remained unaddressed in the community for so long a duration.
It is one of the reasons why we are looking into it. My reporters are experienced in the subject and we think it is worth the wait.
We coach our reporters to care about the community, the people in it, and they carry themselves thusly. We do not coach our reporters with empty and meaningless mission statements. We instead walk the thin line of doing what we say we’re gonna do. And so, when you, sources, are approached by my reporters with their questions please understand and trust their hearts are in the well-being of the community.
Our patience to prepare this project is as deliberate as our seriousness for it. My reporters will not be playing games when they are dispatched and do not intend to when they meet with you.
They shall be carrying the name of INS when they do come. So, they shall act accordingly with polite mannerisms and will not bring with them a desire for yellow journalism. We are not gossipers and nor do we wish to stir up gossip in the community.
That would make us hypocrites. We are not hypocrites, but watchdogs.
When our watchdogs come to you please refrain from giving them treats, as you may inhibit the purpose of their employment with INS.
If any of my reporters strikes a chord or agitates you, I would like to hear about it. Please contact aberyl.ins@gmail.com if you interpret any problems. I will consider them when I am sitting with my pipe in my study.
Good day,
Dr. A. Beryl
Editor en Chef
